John Wesley School – Eshowe (JWSE) is an independent school founded by the Eshowe Methodist Church and supported by the Methodist Church of Southern Africa. It is fully accredited by Umalusi. It seeks to provide quality education to the greater Eshowe community in the context of the Christian faith.
We ensure the quality of the education at JWSE by:

- Implementing a process of internal quality management in regards to the instruction that takes place in the classrooms
- Implementing the National CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement)
- Applying the national requirements for progression in consultation with our SEM (Senior Educational Manager)
- Monitoring learner achievement through book review and ongoing formal and informal school-based assessment
- Ensuring comprehensive record-keeping through SA-SAMS
- Providing and maintaining learning resources and infrastructure
- Providing continual feedback to families of learners
- Addressing the specific needs of learners with learning difficulties
- Using the natural environment and the local community as an extension of classroom learning and as a way of bridging the divide between the “real” world and the classroom
- Staying abreast of trends in education through interaction with ACSI (on a local, national and international level)
